A Prayer for Humility

A Prayer for Humility

Lord, may I always remember that the wisest and the strongest are not always the greatest in your sight, that the richest are not always the most precious, and that the most beautiful are not always the most loved.

May I remember , too, that everything I have is yours, and at any moment, you could take them all away. Let me therefore not boast of my health, of my youth, of my standing before men, for everything can take a sudden turn and I know not what could happen in the days to come.

Protect my heart also from self-righteousness. May I remember that those who suffer now aren’t being cursed or punished, and their plight does not in any way indicate how holy they are in God’s sight.

May I be reminded that even the greatest sinners today may repent and become the holiest saints tomorrow, and that those who seem righteous now may turn their backs on God when trials come.

Let me always be humble, Lord, like a little child, not by virtue of pretense, but by simply knowing the truth. And this is the truth, that every good blessing comes from you, O God, and apart from you, I will surely wither and die.

LOVE IS NOT BLIND

LOVE IS NOT BLIND
there is someone
who understands you,
who sees you
even more than you can see yourself

his eyes are like clear mirrors
reflecting to you
the you he loves and sees

and though you are afraid at first,
your fears are vanquished
and you are able to see through his eyes
what you were afraid to see

love is not blind after all
for love sees more
love sees what no other sees

and looking through those eyes
you finally discover the person within

you discover
the one he loves
the one whose beauty
reaches deep within his soul

you discover
and you see yourself
and you love the more
the one who opened up your own eyes

the only one
who is able to reach your heart

I’ve titled this poem “Love is not Blind” because I believe that Love, more than the common notion of blinding us, opens up our eyes to that kind of beauty we’ve never seen before.  If love is blind, then it is blind only to our past blunders and faults, for love keeps no record of wrongs.

Without woman by gajanan mishra

Without woman

Woman woman woman
Without woman
There is no man.

Woman woman woman
Without woman
Nobody is sane.

Woman woman woman
Still we are
Torturing them.

She Is A Woman! by Jeline Loh

She Is A Woman!

Woman is made great in gentleness
Woman is tender and soft in her acts
Woman speaks with deep sincerities
Woman expresses herself in kind ways

Woman assures everything is alright when it is not
Woman stands for her poise though there is doubt
Woman loves passionately like there is no end to it
Woman comforts even when a situation turns worst

Woman always stood for her precious
Woman always choose to be generous
Woman never point fingers at her betrayer
Woman never says no to a pleading stranger

She is a woman who remains anonymous
She is a woman who is indeed magnanimous!

Now that August is gone by Jacques Sprenkie Mateya

Now that august is gone

Now that august is gone
And we all know that all augusts come and go
Is this woman? a woman of vertue,
Is this woman? a super woman
Is this woman? a woman of mission and vision
Is this woman? classy and stylish
Is this woman? proffesional or house wife
And the woman of action and motion

A woman of courage and resilence
A woman of liberation and liberty
A woman of passion and compassion
A woman of thoughts and opinions
A woman of empathy and sympathy
A woman of concerns and kindness
.
A woman of confrontation or insecurity
A woman of altracation or tranquility
A woman of ambition or armunition
A woman of redeemtion or detention
A woman of power or affection
Is this woman a woman

I am not questining you, woman!
I was questioning this woman

MOTHER

The bond that a child develops with his mother can never be severed. You grew as an organism inside her for nine months. She carried you and sustained you, sharing her sustenance with you through your umbilical cord. When you are born the cord is severed. It is never severed in her heart. That bond lasts forever. As we grow up we become our own people and may come to forget that woman who nurtured and loved us. But remember this, she will never forget you and never stop loving you.
